Vadim Tur

Vadim Tur was born in 1963 in St. Petersburg. He received a versatile academic music education in the areas of - composition, music theory, academic choir. Later he worked as a musician and arranger in various genres of popular music. He collaborated with many famous performers, including Edward Gil, Mikhail Boyarsky, Albert Asadullin. In his arrangements he combines a "classic" professional approach and the latest technology. Able to maximize the image embedded in the musical work. Owns several musical instruments (keyboards, violin, etc.)

Vadim Tur is the author of musicals for children and the whole family “The Tale of a Stupid Mouse” (2009), “Sleeping Beauty” (2016), based on the works of Daniil Kharms (2023).

The libretto of the musical "The Tale of the Foolish Mouse" is based on the poems of S.Ya. Marshak, but unlike the original source, where the mouse disappears after meeting with the Cat, the musical has a positive ending. The original musical language is combined with modern sound, dance rhythms. At the same time, music is available and interesting for both children and adults. In 2009, the sheet music of the work were published. In subsequent years, the musical received great popularity and was staged in many creative groups, both in Russia and in foreign countries (USA, Germany, etc.)

The Sleeping Beauty musical is a modern reading of a legendary story. The hero, our contemporary, fascinated by the legend of the sleeping beauty, penetrates from the real into the parallel fairy-tale world, where he overcomes the curse of the witch and finds his love. The musical is created in the popular fantasy style. The libretto is based on the tale "The Sleeping Princess" and poems by Vasily Zhukovsky. The idea of ​​the work was the desire to create a "Broadway" musical, but with a Russian soul. The music uses elements of various styles and trends - jazz, rock music, hip-hop in combination with the stylistics of authentic Slavic folklore, giving the musical a national flavor, musical diversity and modernity. The musical has several variations of staging in different theaters of Russia.

The libretto of the musical based on the works of Daniil Kharms is entirely based on Kharms' funny poems and stories for children. The musical is aimed at young and middle-aged children, as well as their parents. Bright musical numbers alternate with funny reprises, united by a common storyline.

Vadim Tur is the author of film and television music: Streets of Broken Lanterns (2009-2011), Samurai Honor, Girl and Doll. A characteristic feature of film music is the composer's desire to find the original melody in combination with modern means of musical expression.
